Cai Lan Oils and Fats Industries Company (CALOFIC) is a joint venture between Vocarimex (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and Wilmar Group.
Found up since 1996 with initial investment USD 22 Mil, so far the total investment up to USD 83.5 Mil, CALOFIC is one of the leading Joint-venture which lay a foundation for manufacturing and processing vegetable oils in Vietnam. Currently, CALOFIC has 3 factories in Quang Ninh, Hcmc, Can Tho and one branch in Ha Noi.
From established till now, CALOFIC has incessantly improved quality, applying new technologies and fostered talents, which step by step affirms our position on the market. CALOFIC becomes a familiar name to consumers through well-known vegetables cooking oils brands such as NEPTUNE – TEN FOR TASTE, SIMPLY – FOR A HEALTHY HEART, MEIZAN – THE REAL VALUE, CAI LAN – EXCELLENT FOR FRYING. Besides, we have some kinds of products packed in can, pet with different size; shortening packed in carton box, margarine for food and bakery.
With these non-stop efforts, NEPTUNE brand is loved by consumers and voted as VIETFOOD golden brand for many continuous years.
Moreover, CALOFIC has been taking part of many social activities. Besides the activities of mobilizing to relieve victims from Act of God, building the house of gratitude responded by all staffs, the company is also the sponsor of CALOFIC scholarship to help poor children of Quang Ninh province with over VND 1.5 billion; Nguyen Thi Minh Khai scholarship; surgery sponsor for smile of malformation children.
NEW FACTORY AT HIEP PHUOC IZ, NHA BE DIST., HCMC
In order to increase output capacity to satisfy the increasing demand of local and export market as China, Japan, Korea, Cambodia, Laos. In 2007 Hiep Phuoc oil processing factory come into operation. This is the third factory with large-scale was build on the areas of 8.5 hectare, using the most modern technology and automatic line with output capacity 600Mts/day to produce refinery oils such as Neptune, Meizan…the whole factory is operated in a closed oil processing from input raw material until packing finish product. In this process, all products are very strict control in accordance with Food safety and hygiene standard and ISO.
HUMAN RESOURCES
At Calofic, human resources are the most precious possession. The Company regularly develop strategies aiming at training and developing the human resources. Calofic staffs are trained both domestically and overseas. Furthermore, staffs usually get the opportunity to exchange between Calofic branches, helping Calofic staff to acknowledge all the operation edges of the company.
Especially, young talents working at Calofic are given authority and assigned major tasks; are recognized and deservingly promoted. Thus, our current management team is pretty young.
